我用ibx存取元件去存取firebird之資料庫沒問題,但用ibx之管理工具ibbackupservice以做資料庫備份卻失敗,在網路上有看到一篇文章
IBX will not support Firebird. Please check InterbaseExpress newsgroups from Borland. This was clearly stated by Jeff Overcash who developed IBX. Anyway, IBX works with Firebird 1.0, since is practically the same with Interbase 6.0. For Firebird 1.5 you have two options: IBObjects and FibPLus (URL). 1.不知你用的ibx與我用的ibx是否一樣, 我使用的是ibx expert 5.4 for Delphi5,6,7, 在firebird 2.0x上並無任何問題, 包含ibbackup都可以正常運作

看原始的發言時間是 2003 年, 那時的 Firebird v1.x 也是相容 Interbase 啊! 因為根本是系出 Interbase v6.0 open source, 不知何來 IBX 不支援 Firebird 之說, 我在 Borland Newsgroup 也沒看過這種說法. >1.不曉得ibx是否不支援1.5版以上之firebird ? 因為 Interbase 與 Firebird 都是一樣的, CG沒必要另外出一個 for Firebird 的 DBX 吧?
只要你看到軟體 For Interbase 就表示他也是 For Firebird, 因為 Firebird 是免費的所以沒有廣告費可用, so ... IBX 是 Interbase/Firebird 專用的 DBX 並不是只能存取 Interbase/Firebird 而已, DBX 還能存取很多 Database, Ex: SQL Server 等 ... 是 CG主推的存取方式 IBX & DBX 我都用在實際的系統上過(存取 Firebird )沒有問題 ... 另外一提, Firebird 比 Interbase 效率更好! ===================引 用 ry_lee 文 章=================== danny你好: 你說現在都用dbx , 請問dbx是不是只能存取interbase而不能存取firebird ? 還是dbx也可存取firebird ?

應該沒辦法!
